Privacy for site owners
This covers what Wizbang Sites collects when you sign up for and run a site. The people who visit your site are covered by the Privacy Policy on your site's Legal page.
What we collect
- Your sign-up details: your email address, your name if you give it, your site's name and address, the kind of site, your plan, and the county or trade you claimed.
- Billing: Stripe handles your card. We get back a customer number, your subscription status and your invoices, never your card number.
- Your site: everything you put on it, and what your visitors and members send through it, so we can host and show it.
- Technical logs: IP address, browser and device type, kept by our hosting providers for security and to keep things running.
- Referrals: if you arrived through someone's referral link, we note who referred you.
How we use it
- To build and host your site, sign you in, and bill you.
- To email you about your site: your sign-in links, billing notices, and important changes. No marketing lists unless you ask to join one.
- To keep the service safe, such as stopping spam and abuse.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't share it for advertising.
- We don't put advertising trackers or analytics cookies on your site or ours.
Who helps us
Stripe (payments), Supabase (database, sign-in and storage), Cloudflare (hosting and delivering pages) and Resend (sending email). They handle your information only to provide those services to us.
How long we keep it
While your site is active, and for at least 30 days after you cancel in case you come back. Billing records are kept as long as the law requires.
Your choices
- Download your site's data from your dashboard any time.
- Ask us to see, correct or delete your information by replying to any email from us.
- Depending on where you live, you may have more rights under the law. We'll honor them when you ask.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll email you before it takes effect.
